It really is tough to keep up on this everyday. Anyway, day 3 found me getting a bit cranky at following the new routne andnot just eating whatever found its way into my pie-hole.
Breakfast was the same - cup of yogourt (am I spelling this right??), 1/2 cup Special K, 1/3 cup almonds and like 3 cups of fresh ground - good tasting - cofee with splenda. Worked inthe homeoffice till 11am and dranke 20oz of water.
Got hungry. went to the fridage and chose 8 celery sticks and a 1/2 cup of home made hummus (yumm-O!) that was abouot 11 am
Lunch was leftover tuna whole grain pasta salad from the night before. I had..oh, I dunno, 3 cups with a lsice of Oscar Myer Turkey and slice of 2% cheese slice (very good...try it).
I drank another 32oz of water while I made sales calls the rest of the day. When I got home I made dinner and while doing prep snacked on some soy nuts and almonds.
Dinner was THE BOMB! (of course, anythngis the bomb when you are dieting). I dusted boneless skinless chicken breast with Greek Seasoning and pan seared it in EVOO. After abouot 3 min I placed it on a cooking sheet and then oven roasted it for 20 min at 450. Let it cool and rest for 10 minand then sliced it.
Had it on a fresh spinach salad, with sliced peppers (yellow, red and green), celery, one tangerine peeled and dreeded with paul newman raspberry pecan...2 TBS. YUM-O!
Oh...we had a couple of galsses of red wine while preparing dinner.
The bad............um, ya...had to get rid of the last of the holiday cookies so we munched on a half tin of sugar shortbread cookies (mmm yum).
PS I do feel better...my BP is down....just need some encouragement! :-)

Day 2 - DWT
All in all a good day, I suppose.
Breakfast consited of a cup of yogourt and a cup of Special K; 1/3 cup of almonds and a cup of OJ. Lunch was a cou0ple of cups of the left over black bean and corn slad mixed with a cup of coleslaw cabbage and a couple of tangerines (eaten so elegently in the parking lot of a Chief Supermarket while listening to Glenn Beck at 11:30); then it was a snack of a granola bar at about 3pm. I drank a lot of water and had the temptation of a meeting with a customer in a cafeteria (where I drank 2 16oz cups of water).
Dinner was awesome...tuna mixed with whole grain penne pasta, a vinegar and oil dressing, cucumber and peppers; a wassa(?) cracker and a bite of that excellent corn/bean salad.

My downfall today was the 1/2 bottle of Chardonnay I drank...bad, I know. Otherwise I feel good and feel like I anlosing some weight. Haven't stepped on the scale yet...saving that for later.
I choose to lose and therefore choose to eat the right things!!!!

Day 1, part 2 - DWT
Dinner was delicious! The bulk of the bean and corn salad (with lots of red, yellow and green pepper, red onion and cilantro) was very filling and tasted great. This was the first time we've tried fish tacos and the cod worked well...we baked it and I think next time I will grill it for a change. Marinated it in lime juice, evoo, salt and pepper for 20 min and baked at 450.
One oops however....Julie fouond the chocolate covered cherries you gave her. Welll...we had to get rid of them!

Day 1 - DT
Day 1: (thus far)
drank 2 16 oz bottles of water. started keeping a food diary...which is scarey, but I intend to be honest.
went grocery shopping yesterday (hungry) and made supriosingly good choices...qalthough making a menu ahead of time is the key.
Let's see...today's breakfast was a cup of low fat yogourt (vanilla) with 1/2 cup Special K with red berries; 1/3 cup almonds, 2 cups of coffee with Spelnda, 1 cup of V8 Splash and a slice of low fat cheese.
mid day snack of carrot and celery sticks and another 1/3 cup alomonds and a 20oz bottle of dasani. Lunch was good - 2 cups of romaine lettuce, 6 slices of Oscar Meyer deli sliced turkey and a slice of low fat cheese dressed with 1TB of EVOO and 1TB of rice wine vinegar (very good alternative to white vinegar). plus kosher salt and cracked black pepper...it was most tasty. I was tempted to have a carb with it...but drank a bottle of water instead.
Tonight we plan on making fish tacos with cod and corn tortillias, a black bean and corn salad/relish and carrot/celery sticks with hummus.
Goal: Lose 40 lbs; get rid of blubber belly.
Exercise: walk each day. starting with 15 minutes tonight before we start cooking dinner. Also, parking as far away from the door as reasonable at sales calls/running errends so I must walk more.
I'll work on setting up a blog.
love....

Day 1 - KW
Day 1:Drank 33 oz. water, ate well. Trying for no/low carbs and sugar until I find the right combination. Two weeks is the time it takes to set a pattern so by the end of the month, I hope to be on track.Chuck once said you can lose weight and establish an eating pattern by eating only protein for 2 weeks; that is extremely hard to do. How much chicken, eggs and tuna can one person devour.K-Mart had a pilates ball, rubber band set and DVD for $18.00. I did Pilates a couple years ago and felt great...it's all about the "core". Plus, toning and exercising with the ball is easier and has great results.Next step: walking Willy each morning.Goal: lose 30 lbs., tone tummy and arms, wear sleeveless shirts this summer and not have to wear a moo-moo at the beach.Let's track our successes...Lub u
